Plastek Werks, Inc. distributes both standard capacity rotationally molded low density polyethylene and XLPE tanks, custom dual laminate tanks and fiberglass tanks. Tanks range from 12 gallons to 50,000 tanks. Depending on temperature of solutions, pressure, and chemistry, Plastek Werks staff will determine which material is right for the job. Acids, caustics, insecticides, pharmaceutical solutions, industrial wastewater, and water storage are easily stored in plastic tanks.
Tanks can be supplied in vertical, horizontal, and cone bottom with a variety of fittings. Additionally, heat traced insulated tanks are available.
Advantages
Rotationally Molded Tanks provide the most economical tank options for a wide range of chemistry up to 140 degrees F. These tanks are for non-pressurized, non-vacuum usage.
Dual Laminate Tanks offer a broad range of inner liner resin selections with a completely bonded fiberglass structural shell. Dual laminates are used for higher temperature applications, pressure, and vacuum applications where aggressive and corrosive chemicals are used. Inner liner materials available include: PVC, CPVC, Polypropylene, PVDF, E-CTFE, ETFE, FEP, PFA, and MFA. Dual laminate tanks are used where higher wall strength is desired, over all thermoplastic tanks.
Fiberglass Tanks offer an excellent range of chemical resistance; however, they are not as resistant as dual laminate tanks. Fiberglass tanks can store solvents that cannot be stored in thermoplastic tanks. Fiberglass tanks can be manufactured using filament winding, hand lay-up, and Type X laminates.
